Guanpeng Li is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Iowa. A 2018-19 hire, he deferred his start date with UIowaCS to pursue a Postdoc at UIUC. He received his PhD from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and a B.ASc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UBC in 2014. His research interests are fault-tolerant systems, machine learning dependability, and software testing.
He focuses on building cost-effective fault-tolerant applications and has published across multiple reputed peer-reviewed venues, including IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks (DSN), and International Conference for High-Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC).
