Google’s returning to The University of Iowa! We’ll be back on February 25-26 to host some sessions and workshops on campus for you to learn more about life at Google and specific job/internship opportunities we have for students.  We will have food and swag at most events while they last -- hope to see you there!

Building Your Technical Career Presentation

  • Where/When: February 25 from 5:30-7:30pm in 140 Schaeffer Hall
  • Description: Hear how to maximize each year of school to ensure that you're industry-ready for internships and full-time opportunities. Learn tips on updating your resume, preparing for technical interviews, and communicating effectively with your recruiter.

SRE War Room Workshop

  • Where/When: February 26 from 5:30-7:30pm in 2217 Seamans Center
  • Description: Site reliability engineering is what keeps Google services up and running 24/7 all over the world without missing a beat. At this workshop, Google engineers will lead you through a mock real-world scenario of how to handle a full system meltdown as you troubleshoot and problem-solve your way back to normal.

Google Office Hours

  • Where/When: February 25 from 2:30-4:30pm in 3612B/G Seamans Center (walk-ins) and February 26 from 10am-12pm in 201C/F MacLean Hall (by appointment)
  • Description: Stop by for 1-on-1 time with a Googler and get your questions answered. Monday will be walk-ins, and Tuesday will be by appointment (sign up here).
