SSTP and UG researchers presenting their summer research at a CS Dept. showcase

Ahead of the Secondary Student Training Program at the University of Iowa ending for 2019; students participating in the CS summer research will be presenting their work, as follows:

10:00 am: Sashrika Pandey (advisor: Denise Szecsei

10:30 am: John Theide (advisor: Rishab Nithyanand

11:00 am: Kathy Zhong (advisor: Zubair Shafiq)

11:30 am: Samuel Berkun (advisor: Omar Chowdhury

12 noon: Xingtong Tony Yu (advisor: Padmini Srinivasan)

All are invited to attend. Presentations will include 10 minutes for Q&A.

In addition, on Friday morning, the students’ work will be officially unveiled in a public poster session.

SSTP Poster Session 2017-6

This year, the public poster session will take place in the Iowa Memorial Union Main Lounge from 9:00-10:00am. Everyone interested in SSTP research, and research at the University of Iowa, is warmly invited to attend!"

"Students in grades 10–11 may apply for the Secondary Student Training Program (SSTP), a 5-and-a-half-week residential summer research program at The University of Iowa’s Belin-Blank Center. Conduct research with world-class faculty at a research-intensive University. Participate in classes, evening tours, lectures, and events that will stretch you as a researcher and scholar. The program concludes with a poster competition and a research conference-style poster session."
