The Department of Computer Science cordially invites alumni/ae, faculty, students and friends of department to join us for a reception celebrating Bill Decker [Math Ed BA '66; CS MS '68]—recipient of a 2024 Honorary Doctor of Science degree—on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber and Rotunda.
Light refreshments to be served; remarks will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Bill’s honorary degree acknowledges his contributions to national technology policy, computer networking, and his extraordinary lifetime of service to the University of Iowa. The degree will be conferred at the 9am ceremony on Saturday, May 11 at Carver Hawkeye Arena.
