Among the hundreds of student groups on campus, some are devoted to computer science, including Women in Computing Sciences (WiCS), the student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and Students in Technology and Sciences (SiTS).

Women in Computing Sciences (WiCS)

The University of Iowa Women in Computing Sciences, WICS, is a group dedicated to encouraging young women to pursue technology related fields and build a community of technical women at the university and beyond through community outreach, professional development, and peer networking.

Students in Technology and Sciences (SiTS)

SiTS - Students in Technology and Sciences is a collection of students, professors, and professionals associated with the University of Iowa dedicated to fostering interest in technical fields, the development of crucial skills not taught in the classroom, and networking with peers.

Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)

The Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery at the University of Iowa, ACM@UIOWA, is a local student chapter of the much larger ACM organization. On campus, we promote computing in a fun and friendly environment. All of our activities are put on for and by the students with help from the Computer Science department, which sponsors our organization.
