Interested in learning more about computer science, technology, and software in a fun and friendly environment?

ACM@UIOWA is the local student chapter of the International Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), one of the oldest and largest professional organizations in tech. We promote computing and technology in a fun and casual environment and serve as the premier Computer Science student organization at Iowa (of course, students of all majors are welcome to join!).

Come to our 4th ACM meeting to hear from our second guest speaker, UIowa Alum Yifan Wang (‘20CS|Math) from LinkedIn! He will be sharing a presentation on his recent project on the Hadoop Distributed File System and share a step-by-step walkthrough, covering everything from the business problem background to the system design. Come listen and enjoy complimentary pizza, especially if you're interested in learning more about Data Science and how software architects go about solving a business problem.

Those who are not ACM@UIOWA members should go to Chapter website for more information and to join!
