In "The Academic Interview: What to Expect," faculty at the Department of Computer Science at The University of Iowa will demystify various components of the academic job interview process.

You will gain insights into the types of interactions to expect at your job interviews and topics you should deliberate on prior to your first interview. Faculty participants include UIowa Department of Computer Science's Hiring Committee, current Department Chair, former Dean, Director of Undergraduate Studies, instructional-track faculty, and faculty at various stages of the tenure-track.

Interested parties should complete this brief survey to:

  1. confirm their attendance
  2. rank topics of interest
  3. obtain Zoom password

3:45-4:05 p.m.       Breakroom rotation 1

4:05-4:25 p.m.       Breakroom rotation 2

4:25-4:45 p.m.       Breakroom rotation 3

4:45-5 p.m.             Closing remarks
