At the 13th International Symposium on Stabilization, Safety and Security of Distributed Systems (SSS 2011), the best paper award was given to CS doctoral candidate Andrew Berns, and Professors Sukumar Ghosh, and Sriram V. Pemmaraju for "Building Self-Stabilizing Overlay Networks with the Transitive Closure Framework." Of the 29 selected papers, only three were given special awards.
