A Pomerantz Career Center survey of recent UI CS and Informatics graduates underscores the excellent career prospects our students currently enjoy. Survey responses gathered within 6 months of graduation indicate that 92.5% of CS graduates (77% response rate) and that 91.7% of Informatics graduates (65% response rate) were placed or no longer seeking employment. Average starting salaries were $53,918 for CS majors (minimum $27,040, maximum $97,000) and $46,554 for Informatics majors (minimum $32,000, maximum $60,000) with 51% of graduates electing to start their careers in Iowa.
