Prof. Shafiq and Prof. Srinivasan have been awarded a 2015 Commercialization GAP grant by the University of Iowa Research Foundation (UIRF) and the Office of the Vice President for Research & Economic Development (OVPR&ED). Their project entitled "Social Media Powered Real-Time Digital News Recommendation Service" has received a one-year $75,000 grant.
