Associate Prof. Octav Chipara and his co-authors* received a Test Of Time Award at SenSys2022; which recognizes paper that are at least 10 years old and have had long lasting impact on networked embedded sensing system science and engineering. Prof. Chipara's paper, "Reliable Clinical Monitoring using Wireless Sensor Networks: Experiences in a Step-down Hospital Unit," was written while he was a doctoral student.

The paper received this accolade for "Expanding sensing network systems into the medical setting and showing their challenges and promises in the domain."
