The computer science and engineering major at the University of Iowa has received its inaugural accreditation this year from the Engineering and the Computing Accreditation Commissions of ABET, which is the worldwide gold standard for producing graduates ready to enter critical technical fields. Run jointly by the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science, the UI’s Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program is one of 13 in the nation and is only one of two of its kind in the Big 10.
