Graduate student Tiffany Brenneman has been promoted to System Engineer within the Operating Systems Group at the VA Hospital in Iowa City.

Kendall Atkinson, Professor Emeritus, was named a 2011 SIAM Fellow for contributions to the numerical analysis of integral equations and to the teaching of numerical analysis.

Padmini Srinivasan earned top recognition from The University of Iowa Graduate College for excellence in mentoring graduate students. She was honored during a ceremony Dec. 7, 2010.
